Absolutely! I take bookings from 6 months pregnancy. To make a booking I simply note your due date, and expect a call or text message (generally by a proud daddy in hospital!) as soon as possible after your baby has been born to make a solid booking. Newborns under 14 days old is ideal. Click here for a general guide.
NOW! I always keep space available each week for newborns. Priority is given for babies under 14 days.
Generally speaking, pregnancy sessions are best held around 36 weeks. However I have photographed bellies at 40 weeks (just 5 hours before labour!) and at 29 weeks in the case of twins. It is preferred to hold the session when your belly is nice and round and you are still "comfortable" to be to move around.
Most of the sessions are held at Photobaby's Home Studio in Sunbury (15 minute drive past Tullamarine airport). This just works as I have the room at a comfortable temperature, all the props, backdrops and lighting are set up ready to begin as soon as you arrive. I live on 2 acres so I get some lovely natural photos while the children are playing or hiding and the greenery provides a perfect backdrop for family shots. There is also a gorgeous park called 'The Nook' in Sunbury just a 5 minute drive away which is fabulous if you have older children and no longer require warmth of indoor facilities for any of your session. If I'm to photograph your special event, I'll of course come to you.
Click here to view all packages. Photobaby requires a $50 deposit to secure your booking which will be emailed upon booking. If this is not paid before your session, I may allocate your time to someone else. Please call 24 hours before your photo session if you think your child will be unwell on the day and you need to reschedule. This non-refundable deposit is valid for 2 months from your booked photo session. This allows you to change your session should your child become unwell up to 2 months after your initial booking. If however, you don’t turn up for your photo session or you cancel your session Photobaby retains the deposit.
Direct deposit details will be sent to your email upon receiving your Booking Form for the $50 deposit.
The balance is accepted via Cash, Bank Deposit, VISA, AMEX, or Mastercard on the day. Credit card surcharge applies.
Yes, but if you have more than one family (Mum, Dad, 3 children, 2 grandparents) you are required to book the Photobaby Event Package. All photo sessions require planning so numbers are important. Introducing additional people will likely happen at the end of your session so distractions for children are reduced. Please be aware that the more people you have at your session the longer it will take to arrange and coordinate people.

After the photo shoot there are many hours spent working on the shots before you receive them. Your photos will be downloaded, the best photos manually selected, retouching of blemishes/scratches etc, colour corrected, processed into black & white with further black/white correction, then processed into lo-res and hi-res jpgs, disc designed with your own DVD/CD cover and label, contact sheets created, DVD/CD created and burnt OR an online gallery developed ready to view.
I arrange a variety of wonderful gifts and framed prints. Alternatively anywhere that prints digital photographs. You can print from your home computer onto gloss photo paper, print onto canvas and have your favourites enlarged for any size. Larger sizes are possible when printing onto differing mediums such as canvas, glass, metal etc. Inquire when ordering at your local photo store.
Additional time is charged at $50 per 30mins. This covers photographers time only. This does not include extra photos and photo processing. If you want more than the allocated package includes, let me know and I'll provide a quote.
Every printer is colour calibrated differently depending on what printer, photo paper (Kodak, Fuji and Canon etc) and what ink is used which is why you see a large range of results. Photobaby can guarantee accurate colour first time in your prints as all factors have been carefully managed. Slight colour variations may occur on digitally printed cards and calendars compared to your printed photos. This occurs because of the different printer, stock and printing method so it is out of Photobaby's colour control.
Yes, Marnie Hibbert will always hold the copyright for PHOTOBABY.COM.AU images taken. If you purchase a DVD, Newborn, Mini Session, Event or Baby Collection Package, then you have the rights to print and reproduce the images, for private use, forever. You must not however, use the images commercially in anyway whatsoever.
Marnie Hibbert will seek permission from the child's guardian in the event that an image may be used for advertising material associated with PHOTOBABY.COM.AU.
I ensure all my equipment is in top working condition. Liability is restricted to a money back refund on my services or a rescheduled sitting should any issue occur.
Please do not come to a session if your child has a contagious illness. The studio is in my home so I want to ensure my family is protected as well as myself. Should you need to change your date and/or time please let me know as soon as possible. Changes made within 12 hours of your session incur a $50 fee. If however a cancellation is required, Photobaby retains the $50 deposit. Your $50 deposit is valid for 2 months from the date of your initial booking should you need to change your photography date.
Please call to let me know how far away you are. Keep in mind that your session time still begins from your booked time so if you have a 1 hour session you may not receive the full amount of images mentioned in your package as I don't have the full length of time to take the photos. If I have available time following your session you may want to purchase additional time.
Unfortunately some mailed items go missing from time to time using Australia Post when using 'Standard Post', it doesn't happen often but when it does it requires repeat print orders or copies of CD/DVDs to be made and reposted at my time and expense. Paying for Registered Post ensures that should your package go missing I will resend your order out to you again at no charge to you.
Minor retouching is included in all packages. This includes a few scratches or minor baby pimple removal. All other retouching is made at Photobaby's discretion. Photobaby images are only released when Photobaby is happy with the quality of the final image. Extensive retouching is available.
Yes. There is a location fee of $80 to visit you plus a travel fee of $25 per 15km or part there of from Sunbury. Contact me for a quote.
Years ago my friend had her first baby boy. I began taking photos of him growing up using a borrowed 2mb digital camera. By the time he was 6 months old, my friend had suggested numerous times to consider baby photography as a full time job. I had only ever considered photography as my hobby whilst travelling across several continents using my SLR film camera. At the time I was running my Graphic Design Business. After the idea swam around in my mind for months I woke up one morning with a name. PHOTOBABY was born! It has since grown steadily each year with hundreds of clients and a lot of smiles! I love providing families with a fun experience and beautiful memories. To be invited into someones family to capture tender special moments is an honour and I absolutely love following them grow up and even see their new additions as the years go by. To me Photobaby is not a job, it's a passion that I've enjoyed since 2006.
Prices do change occasionally but if you have booked a session (and paid your deposit) that price and package remain fixed for your session or the duration of the Baby CD Collection package. If you have a Gift Voucher, its value is used with current pricing at the time of booking. *Current Prices are effective 14th July 2015.
